Russian Toys
Russian Toy dogs, are considered one of the smallest and rarest breeds of dogs in the World. Russian Toys have long legs and a square build. Their small size will invite comments, questions, and conversations. Russian Toys are often compared in size to Chihuahuas, they may be even smaller, weighing on the average between 2.2 and 6 pounds.
Ava, smooth coat ; Diva Long coat
Dog Description
There are two varieties of purebred Russian Toy: smooth coat and long coat. The smooth coat has a short, hard, sleek coat with no undercoat covering its entire body. Long-coat Russian Toy dogs are fringe-coated dogs with close lying hair and a short, soft, but not woolly, undercoat. Starting in 2010, the Russian Toy (or, Russkiy Toy) is now approved to compete in AKC companion events .

A Little About Me...My name is Scarlett King and I am a dedicated breeder / exhibitor who has made it my purpose to try to breed only Quality Russian Toys (Russkiy Toys).I breed under the prefix "Highfield", I am a dedicated lifetime Hobby Breeder.I have bred, owned or shown over 50+ champions in several other breeds but mainly Afghan Hounds. We are already celebrating our 22nd Russian Toy Champion. I am not really a kennel, as all my dogs are raised in my home with me, enjoying normal everyday life.I often joke that I live in their Kennel.I adhere to the goals and standards set forth by the FCI and RKF, which was based on the work of many Russian breeders before me.I believe by carefully monitoring my breeding program, using health tested and often championed dogs,I hope to breed a healthier, typier, and a most wonderful , correctly tempered Russian Toy.
